In Guatemala, the textile industry is one of the largest components of the Gross Domestic Product and one of the largest sources of work, creating around 92 thousand jobs. Regarding the manufacture of textiles on looms  waist and pedal loom we talk about art.

•   Round trip transportation from Antigua Guatemala.

•   English Spanish Translator  

• ​ Tour in cooperatives of women weavers of the community

•   Demonstration of the use of the backstrap loom

•   Option to purchase fabrics made by the community

•   Explanation about the colors and designs of some traditional costumes for daily and ceremonial use.

•   You can book a class with a master weaver to make your own fabric with a backstrap loom (book a day in advance)

•   Visit to an educational initiative focused on children to promote the conservation of the art of the backstrap loom.
