The origin of the pepián dates back to the second half of the 16th century, with the birth of the brotherhoods, which allowed the fusion of the Mayans and the Spanish. They say that in the pre-Hispanic world pepián was served in great ceremonies or rituals, related to religion and politics. The dish of the Mayan kings, come and enjoy it.
